How a job runs
The person who answers the phone asks about the building, not about your insurance. Where the fire was, whether the fire department has released it, whether it is open to the weather and whether anyone is living in it. That is enough to send the right first crew, and if the house is open, board-up comes before anything else.
On site the technician walks every room with a residue test and a camera, then writes the scope: what will be cleaned, what will be removed, what goes to contents cleaning and what the drying plan is. The cleanup starts when you have read it. Someone is on site every working day until the walkthrough, and the odor is checked again on a warm day after the equipment leaves.
You get the records at the end: photos of every room before and after, the scope, the inventory of removed contents with photos, and the moisture log. Those are the documents an insurance adjuster asks for, and they are yours whether or not you file a claim.
What we say no to
We do not quote a price over the phone, because nobody can smell a house or test a wall from a phone. We do not tell you what your policy covers; the adjuster does that. We do not clean over odor that has not been removed at its source, and we do not touch structural framing without a structural contractor's decision. If a job needs a roofer, an electrician or a rebuild contractor, we say so.
